I think photoshop is as valid a tool as any in art. The artist still has to have the imagination, the ability to visualise and draw and compose and the ability to use the tools to achieve the right result. I know a lot of traditionalists are resistant to new ways of doing art, but without them we would still be painting on the walls of caves.
you're right about that, certainly when it comes to ideas, the medium don't matter but I do know people who used to work traditional & switched to digital painting, and somewhat lost their own style... I'll remain a traditional artist, but I love the cheap thrills of photoshop
yay! i put in a little color just cause i could since i'm sending you the original! btw, i went through my piles and piles of paintings and found the one you originally wanted, so i'll be sending that. and of course some bonus stuff!
oh cool, can't wait! I'll be sending you the piece you've featured in deviated-path, it was a part I originally made for you, but I couldn't resist playing around with it in photoshop. I'll also make another colored one & send you that abstract birdie thing. I also have a little silly b&w drawing, but I might as well send it by email. you have a printer right?
